SeaSport Boating History

The producers of the SeaSport boating lineup are Northwest Marine Industry, based in Bellingham, WA. Northwest Marine Industry has a long history producing all kinds of boats, with SeaSport specifically being added to their lineup in 1986. The SeaSport lineup proved popular and dealerships across the West Coast began clamoring for these boats to join their inventory. This led to an expansion of the lineup with boats ranging in size from 19' to 32' Pacific Catamaran. This proved to be a huge undertaking and led to a large expansion of the Northwest Marine Industry shipbuilding yards. 

Unfortunately, hard times hit the company during the economic downturn, and SeaSport was shelved as boat sales began to fall. At a foreclosure auction, SeaSport was bought by their current owners with the intention of reviving the brand. By 2011 the new owners had succeeded in crafting a new lineup of SeaSport boats to revive the Pacific Northwest tradition. Many of these boat molds are the same ones used in past production, meaning that you still get a great piece of history with every SeaSport boat you purchase!
