| Rough seas and poor fishing conditions have kept many salmon fishermen on shore this July. So, Y Marina has extended our Salmon Showdown contest through the month of August! From August 2nd through August 31st, Y Marina is holding a special contest for every salmon fisherman willing to participate. Bring your Chinook or Coho salmon catch into our Coos Bay location, have it weighed, and win prizes valued at up to $900! We will weigh your catch right here on location, take a photo of you with your fish, and enter your catch into the contest. The contestant who has caught the largest fish, by weight, will win their choice of a brand new Garmin 541 GPS, Scotty 1101 Electric Downrigger, or a $500 service certificate to Y Marina. Our contest leaders will be featured on Y Marina's homepage until he or she has been dethroned. Our Salmon Showdown contest winner will also be featured in September’s Y Family Newsletter.
